A strange request

Best Mystery - Blood Sisters 1

Anna Pavesi is a psychiatrist whose reputation has preceded her. Persuading a young, disenchanted boy to return home to a wealthy lifestyle wasn’t demanding to someone with her skills but word has obviously got around. Contacted by Benedetta Vitali, from one of Milan’s well-heeled families, she has been asked to find her missing half-sister, Patrizia. Apart from when Benadetta’s father died there has been no contact since he was paid off. It had been a marriage made in heady student days. One that did not survive in the real world.

Best Mystery - Blood Sisters 2

Now, though, the contact has been from the Carabieneri. Patrizia has been involved in a fatal accident and the family have to do the right thing. She should be buried – actually reburied - in the family vault near Lake Maggiore. Some careless workmen turned an exhumation into a mystery. Her coffin was empty. So this was the missing person that Anna was being asked to find. Not often that corpses go missing, not without someone giving them a helping hand!
