- He kept very quiet about his past. I’m not so sure David Hunter didn’t have something to do with the deaths. He was always there or thereabouts.

David Hunter's story
- Even the maggots and flies have a story to tell. Sometimes you can hear the buzz of the flies before you actually see the corpse.

Jenny Hammond's story
- It never occurred to me that my diabetes could kill me before his knife did. But at least that would be a painless way to die.

Carl Brenner's story
- Poaching is a way of life for some of us. No other way to make a living and we always know who else is skulking around in the night-time.

Reverend Scarsdale's story
