The blame for the devastation of the ‘Tourists’ is laid firmly at the door of the man who had so recently been given charge of them, Alan Drummond. The group, what’s left of it, is disbanded and he is thrown out of the secret service in disgrace. It is too much for the man, too much for his wife, and he becomes too much for Milo his close friend and associate.
A maverick visit to London in the guise of Sebastian Hall, Milo’s operational name, is bad enough. Now Alan Drummond has gone missing and Milo finds himself dragged back into the game with high stakes. He has already been in the firing line – quite literally – as a consequence of one of the ‘Tourist’s’ excursions and this time he is caught up in Drummond’s plans to take revenge on Zhu, the man who left him devoid of a life. But Alan Drummond is not the only person who sees Milo as a valuable asset. Nor is Milo the only one of the original ‘Tourists’ who is still available.
