Twenty three years ago Michael and Julian were living in Iron House, an orphanage for boys. It was filled with brutality and cruel bullying. On the day intended to finalise the brother’s adoption, Julian attacked and killed one of his tormentors. But it was Michael who took the blame, ran away to New York, never to see his brother again until now.
Turning up in a stolen car at the grand house of his brothers adopted parents, Senator Vane and his wife Abigail, Michael is greeted with distrust by all but Mrs Vane. A dead body on the property and complications arise. Michael cleans up, but it's all too much for Elena, who finally cracks and leaves in hysterics. As the past comes to the surface, Michael must find out what brought one of the five ‘bully boys’ from Iron House here, to the Vane's boathouse. He sets out on an investigation of his own, while Elena is left alone and unprotected, vulnerable to the Mob and the brutality of Jimmy's scheming ways.
