Summary

Northern Ireland 2007. A cease fire has been called and Belfast looks to be a city finally moving towards a future free of the old ways, of the violence, of the Troubles. But in the end, someone always pays, and Gerry Fegan knows a thing or two about that. An ex- IRA hit man, Fegan’s reputation precedes him as the rumours and truths of the atrocities he committed in his career circulate, but times have changed and his past is catching up with him.

Fegan’s answer to ghosts of the past is a vendetta against those who gave the orders or simply stood by and watched. Then, enter Davy Campbell, a double agent determined to finish him; Vincie Coppolla, thug, opposed to Stormont and all it stands for; Marie McKenna, outcast for loving the wrong man and, last but not least, hard man Bull O'Kane. The killings stand to de-rail the peace processes and the hunter becomes the hunted.
